Persistant verrucas or warts may require two or three applications.How to recognise verrucas and wartsVerrucas are caused by a virus and are most commonly found on the sole of the foot. The surface of the verruca is generally rough or granular and irregular in shape with one or more minute brown or black spots.Warts are caused by the same virus as verrucas, are skin coloured and have a raised 'cauliflower' like rough surface.
