How we collect, use and protect your information.

FindMyBasket is a UK beauty price comparison platform. This policy explains what information we collect about you when you visit findmybasket.co.uk, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.

1. Who we are
FindMyBasket is run by Robbie Coffin, based in Hampshire, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information collected through findmybasket.co.uk.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Email address when you save a routine, join the waitlist or contact us.
- Your routine selections (products and retailers you choose) if you save a routine to your email.
2.2 Information we collect automatically
- Analytics data via Google Analytics 4, but only if you accept analytics cookies. This includes pages viewed, approximate location (country and region, derived from your IP address which is anonymised before storage), device type, browser, and how you arrived at the site.
- Cookie preferences, stored locally in your browser so we remember your choice.
2.3 Information we receive from third parties
- Affiliate transaction data from AWIN and Rakuten when a purchase you make at a partner retailer is attributed to a click through FindMyBasket. This typically includes the retailer, the product category, the order value, and a transaction reference. We do not receive your name, address or card details.

4. Cookies and similar technologies
We only set non-essential cookies if you give consent through our cookie banner. You can change your mind any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer.

4.2 Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that as a request to reject non-essential cookies and we will not show you the banner.
5. Who we share information with
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with the processors and partners listed below, and only where needed for the purposes set out above.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms of use, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.
6. How long we keep your information
- Saved routines and email addresses: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Analytics data: retained by Google Analytics for up to 14 months.
- Affiliate transaction data: retained by the affiliate networks per their own policies, typically up to 24 months for commission reconciliation.
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Email correspondence: kept while it is reasonably useful to do so, then deleted.
7. International transfers
Some of our processors (Vercel, Mailchimp, Google, Rakuten) operate from the United States. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Standard Contractual Clauses to provide appropriate safeguards. You can ask us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete your information ("right to be forgotten") in certain circumstances.
- Restrict or object to our processing in certain circumstances.
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent (such as for analytics cookies or marketing emails).
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@findmybasket.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days. There is no fee unless your request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
Quick deletions. You can unsubscribe from any routine email using the link at the bottom of it, which also deletes your saved routine. If you want everything we hold about you erased, email us and ask.
9. Children
FindMyBasket is not aimed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please email us so we can delete it.
10. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted database storage, and access controls limiting who can see your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we treat keeping your information safe as a priority.
11. Complaints
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right: hello@findmybasket.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when we change anything material about how we handle your information. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when the current version was published. If the change affects how we use existing data, we will let you know directly where we have your email address.
13. Affiliate disclosure
FindMyBasket is free to use because we earn an affiliate commission when you click through and buy at a partner retailer. The commission does not affect the price you pay or our recommendations. You can see which retailers we partner with in our affiliate network sections above.
