Our story

Why we built FindMyBasket

It started with a simple frustration. The same skincare products — CeraVe, The Ordinary, La Roche-Posay — were available at completely different prices across different UK retailers. A four-product morning routine could cost £8-15 more depending on where you bought it. And yet no tool existed to compare prices across a whole routine at once.

Most price comparison tools work product by product. But that is not how people buy skincare. They buy a routine. So we built a tool that thinks the same way — one that looks at your whole basket, factors in delivery costs, and finds the optimal combination of retailers for your specific set of products.

FindMyBasket is also home to a Product Finder — a search tool covering 59 active ingredients and 47 skin concerns — that helps users discover the right products for their skin type and find the best price across UK retailers in one place.

Our Founder
Founder, FindMyBasket

Robbie is an NHS transformation professional and programme director with a background in biochemistry, quality management and digital transformation. He built FindMyBasket from scratch using AI-assisted development tools — with no prior coding experience — alongside his full-time role in the NHS and a board directorship at Citizens Advice.

The idea came from a personal frustration: spending too much time manually comparing skincare prices across different retailers before every purchase. FindMyBasket is the tool he wished existed.
